About TankStocking

TankStocking exists to stop a preventable heartbreak: a beginner fills a tank with fish that were never going to live together.

An estimated majority of fish bought for a brand-new aquarium die within the first month, and overstocking and incompatibility are leading causes. The information to avoid this exists — but it's scattered across care sheets, forums, and dated tools. TankStocking pulls it into one fast, honest planner you can use before you buy a single fish.

Our principles

  • Welfare first. We would rather show an inconvenient warning than a comforting green light.
  • Transparent. We publish exactly how the tool works and where our data comes from.
  • Free and private. No account, no tracking beyond standard analytics, and your plan stays in your browser and the page link.
  • Honest about limits. A tool is a starting point, not a substitute for cycling your tank, testing your water, and learning your fish.
